Job Profile: Rural Litigation & Entitlement Kendra (RLEK), Dehradun is a premier Civil Society Organisation working extensively on issues such as Basic Education, Adult Education, Legal Literacy, female infanticide and Livelihood in the State of Uttarakhand for last 30 years. RLEK has a sister concern for all women - PRAGATI (Panchayti Rule and Gender Awareness Training Institute) which works on women empowerment through informed governance, Female literacy, Livelihood and Training etc. The Coordinator is expected to lead the team of experienced field workers and Master trainers to successfully achieve project goals.
Qualification: Masters, preferably in Social Work, Social Sciences, Rural Development or related discipline from a reputed institution with a minimum of 3-5 years of development experience at a middle/senior management level.
Main Responsibilities
a) Coordinate with partners and stakeholders - for effective implementation of programs and activities;
b) Prepare plans and budgets, coordinate and monitor activities and expenses, and prepare periodic reports on progress and results;
c) Network with development agencies, research and training institutions, and civil society;
d) Organize, moderate, document and manage seminars, conferences, workshops and training programs;

Should possess a good understanding of the international development policies, institutions and experiences, and be familiar with the current issues in development cooperation;

Should have a good understanding of the political and economic processes and institutions in South Asia in general and India in particular;

Should be familiar with capacity building programs and instruments - organizational development, advanced training methodology, dialogue and knowledge management.

Must be willing to work in a flexible way and travel frequently to the Project Areas;

Educational Qualification and Experience
MSW/ MA in Rural Development
2-4 years of experience working with the rural community
should have excellent fieldwork and casework experience, should posses team building capacity with good communication skills.
Must be fluent in oral and written English and Hindi
Job Profile:

Field monitoring
-
Ensure optimal functioning, smooth implementation through regular (long term and short term) intervention based on the principles of case work and social work

Continuous assessment of the activities on field (by regular field visits)
Attending different meetings on field and providing inputs to ensure effective implementation of the project

Reviewing the plan of action on field
-
Take initiative in designing tools to facilitate smoother implementation and activity monitoring for the field staff / management
Main Responsibilities

Value the Vision Mission and Goal of the organisation on which the projects are based.

Practice to accomplish the project goals/ objectives

Identifying training needs, Design and conduct trainings and evaluate through feed back/ follow up accordingly

Debriefing with the concerned staff after every field visit with the aim of capacity building, mainly in case work
-
To participate and conduct regular brainstorming sessions for project development
-
Monitor and motivate field staff in appropriate use of the network in the vicinity
-
Maintaining a good collaboration in the best interest of beneficiaries.

Reporting about the assessment of the field activities, capacities of the staff
Contribute in documentation (preparation of quarterly/ annual descriptive reports, etc)
