PRAGATI is an all women team operates on the Democratic Principle of  "By the women, for the women and of the women" with a   rights-based approach to create a Transformative Women Leadership and Citizenship . The Board members comprise of women with eminent backgrounds and experiences in Governance, Gender issues and development policies.

The group has created an extensive support structure to provide a package of information “on political education and governance” for women and the electorate to bolster the vision of Good Governance.

Handbook On Capacity Building for Women in South Asia
Nov 2006

Conceptualised and designed the Handbook to strengthen the capacity of women in the political sphere of Local Governance in South Asia and empower women to bring in necessary transformation for Good Governance. Conducted in depth research on the needs and profiles of the South Asian countries. His Excellency, Mr. RajaPaksha, President of Sri Lanka, released the Handbook.
