Anand, Pallavi has a Bachelors degree in Commerce from Delhi University. She is currently pursuing the Diploma in Human Rights and has a keen interest in the rights of women.
Bagga, Harjeet Singh is a Post-graduate in Rural development and is working as a Young Professional with RLEK.
Barker, Elizabeth has an Economics degree from Cambridge University. She is an Internal Evaluator for a UNDP-GOI Sustainable development project being implemented by RLEK, and has been closely working with rural communities on a rights-based approach to development.
Bhatta, Pawan Kumar is a practising lawyer from Nepal who also has a Masters degree in Sociology. He has worked in the elections in his country and has a keen interest in Journalism, publishing many articles about human rights issues in South Asia. Pawan is now pursuing the Human Rights Diploma.
Dobhal, Rajesh is a post-graduate in history, and has previously worked with a number of NGOs to promote the rights of children. He is now pursuing the Diploma in Human Rights.
Dolkar, Stanzin has a Masters in Sociology and previously worked with RLEK on community development and natural resource management research. She is currently working for Ladakh Development Organisation From Leh, Ladakh, she has a first-hand understanding of politics in Jammu and Kashmir.
Goel, Shivani has a Masters in English as well as a diploma in Environmental Law. She has previously worked on the editing desk of The Pioneer and Media TransAsia Ltd, but takes a deep interest in the rights of indigenous tribes and environmental rights. She is now a participant of the Diploma in Human Rights.
Jain, Anmol has a Masters in Forest Management. Anmol has been involved in implementation of projects and co-ordinating research work with the marginalised communities in the Himalayas.
Dhyani, Shailesh is the Systems Administrator at RLEK, since 1993. He is an IT professional with more than five years' experience in software and web site designing, development and promotion. He has worked on various platforms. He is responsible for maintaining and promoting the RLEK's web sites, besides creating databases for the organisation.
Joshi, Haripriya has a Masters in Modern History from JNU and a first degree in Political Science. She has a particular interest in human rights issues and the environment. Haripriya is now pursuing the Diploma in Human Rights.
Kalahe Weerasingha Hettiarachchige Mangla has studied both Law and International Relations, and is currently studying for the Diploma in Human Rights. He has previously worked as an investigator in "Census of Population and Housing" in Sri Lanka.
Kalia, Bindu has a Masters in Social Work. She directs both the Gender Training Faculty and the State Resource Centre for Uttaranchal at RLEK.
Kariyapperuma, Ilanka is a Bar at Law and Attorney at Law, specialising in civil law. She has worked on many human rights cases in her home country, Sri Lanka. Ilanka is currently a participant of the Diploma in Human Rights.
Kataria, Hina has a diploma in English journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. Her first degree is in Political Science. Before joining RLEK, Hina worked with a number of NGOs on issues such as the rights of Himalayan Mountain children, community empowerment in hill states, and social work for the blind.
Kaul, Lakshmi is a journalism graduate from Kashmir who has previously worked for many magazines including India Today. She is now a freelance journalist with an interest in labour rights in India and is currently pursuing the diploma in Human Rights.
Kaur, Jaideep has a Masters in Psychology and has experience as a researcher in a number of fields such as the handicapped, terrorism and gender. She has a strong knowledge of Jammu and Kashmir, having studied in Jammu itself.
Kaushal, Avdhash is the Chairperson of RLEK. He was awarded "Padmashree" by the President of India for his contributions to the cause of the environment and for the rights of marginalised communities. He is also the Chairperson for the State Resource Centre for Adult Education in Uttaranchal and has been a member of the drafting committees on many national social legislations.
Khan, Maheru is a post-graduate in Plant Sciences, and has a first degree in Sciences. Maheru is now studying for the diploma in Human rights and has a keen interest in Children's rights.
Maheshwaram, Raj is a qualified lawyer and a lecturer of Constitutional Law. He is a member of the faculty in RLEK Human Rights Centre.
Panwar, Ravi has a degree in Commerce and is a software developer by profession. He is currently pursuing the Human Rights Diploma.
Shukla, Shefali currently lectures at an IAS preparation institute, teaching history. She has a Masters in History and is now pursuing the Diploma in Human Rights.
Tuman, Bashir is a freelance journalist/photojournalist. He has previously been assigned to a UNICEF study on "Children Affected by Armed Conflict in Jammu and Kashmir". Bashir has a Masters in Mass Communication and Journalism.
Upadhyaya, Sameer Kumar is a practising lawyer from Kathmandu, Nepal. He specialises in international law and human rights. Sameer is now a participant in the Human Rights Diploma.
Kazmi, S.M.A. is a principal correspondent with the Indian Express, presently based in Dehra Dun, Uttaranchal. He himself belongs to Kashmir and has been covering events in various parts of the state including Srinagar and Jammu for several years.
Prashanta, Shishir is a special correspondent with the Deccan Herald. Though currently based at Dehradun, he belongs to Jammu and has also worked as a journalist there. He was earlier working with the Press Trust of India.
Gulati, Namrata is a Systems Assistant at RLEK.
Sharma, Amit is a Systems Assistant at RLEK.
